Children’s Recreation & Therapy Bursary

We invite all DSASC members under the age of 21 who are living with Down syndrome to apply for our Children’s Recreation and Therapy Bursary, designed to help cover the costs of recreation and therapy programs.
Young Adults Independence Bursary
Applications now closed.
We also invite all DSASC young adult members with Down syndrome, who have completed school, to apply for our Young Adults Independence Bursary. This bursary helps offset the costs of supports and programs that foster independence.

We invite all DSASC members under the age of 21 who are living with Down syndrome to apply for our Children’s Recreation and Therapy Bursary, designed to help cover the costs of recreation and therapy programs.
- Funding will be divided evenly among eligible applicants, with a maximum of $500 per individual.
- Eligible expenses include recreation and therapy programs, as well as assistive devices and equipment (e.g., bikes, tablets) following the guidelines of the Provincial SSAH program.

- Complete the application form available on our website below.
- Opens: September 1, 2025
- Deadline: October 5, 2025
- Applicants must hold a current DSASC membership.
- Successful applicants will be notified by November 1, 2025.
Requirements for Successful Applicants
- Submit receipts (dated September 1, 2025, or later), or a bursary expense claim form if receipts are unavailable.
- Provide a letter of thanks and, if possible, a photo for our newsletter and fundraising initiatives.
- Bursary funds will be reimbursed to parents within 30 days of submission.
- Final deadline for receipt submission: June 1, 2026.
