The Down Syndrome Association of Simcoe County invites you to our 11th annual fun walk fundraiser on October 27th, 2024! This event marks the perfect way to close out Canadian Down Syndrome Week (October 20th – 26th), a time dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the amazing individuals in our community.
Our members will form teams and walk to raise funds for our recreation programs, social events, and bursaries. These initiatives empower individuals with Down syndrome, foster inclusion, and celebrate their unique abilities. Your participation and generosity make these programs possible.

Prizes: Get creative and have some fun! We'll be awarding prizes for the top fundraisers and the teams with the most spirited costumes.

- Group Walk & Celebration: Connect with fellow supporters in person at the Tiffin Centre from 1 pm to 3 pm on October 27th. Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of community and celebration!

- Waiver: Each must complete the following waiver ahead of the walk. You may fill out the form and send it via email to [email protected], or you may print out a copy and bring it with you.
- Walk Your Way: Walk at your own pace and location anytime during Canadian Down Syndrome Week.
Location: Tiffin Centre for Conservation, 8195 8th Line, Utopia, ON.
Schedule:
- Aim to arrive at 1 pm
- We'll capture a group photo to commemorate the day, and then embark on a leisurely stroll around the scenic pond
- Afterward, we'll head back to the pavilion to refuel with some delicious pizza!
- We expect the event to wrap up around 3 pm.
