Young Adults Day Program

Day programming in Simcoe County for Young Adults is very scarce, and can be expensive. In consultation with our members, it was determined that one of the best ways that the DSASC can support our "over 21" membership is to offer a day program tailored specifically to their needs. This program is also open to non-members with Down syndrome at a less subsidized rate. Members may register below, non-members please email admin @ dsasc.ca to determine availability and suitability. Thank you!

The day program is designed to offer continued development of independence skills and provide social opportunities. Activities will include physical activity, arts/crafts, music, outings, academics, games, meal prep, and more.

Due to COVID restrictions, the building we use for our Young Adults Day Program is still closed, but we know that our friends miss each other, so we are hosting a virtual option: 

Winter Term:
​WHO:
Individuals with Down Syndrome aged 21 or over.
WHERE:
ZOOM (link emailed after registration)
WHEN: 
Tuesdays and Fridays, 1-2:30pm (March 30 - May 28th | 9 weeks)
COST:
$110 for 9 weeks. Registration includes both days. 

REGISTER:
Registration is required. Upon confirmation of your registration we will issue an invoice by email, which can be paid by cheque or e-transfer.

    We have adopted a Letter of Agreement for the YADP. Participants and their Parents/Caregivers will be required to sign it to participate in the YADP.
