WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY INFORMATION WEBSITE

Welcome to the Down Syndrome Association of Simcoe County web site, formerly known as the Parents of Down Syndrome (PODS). We cover the Simcoe County area including the cities and towns of Barrie, Orillia, Collingwood, Tottenham, Bradford and Midland.

We provide a relaxed and informal atmosphere for families to discuss the challenges and joys of living with Down syndrome.

We are a non-profit community organization facilitating families to have access to resources, assistance, services and community groups. We are comprised of parents who volunteer their time, talents and energy to help improve the lives of children, teens and adults with Down syndrome.

OUR GOALS:
• To provide support and information to families with a Down syndrome member.
• To promote increased knowledge and understanding of Down syndrome to the community.
• To assist in accessing services for families in need.

MISSION STATEMENT:  To work together to increase public awareness, while supporting and enhancing the lives of our children.
